Job summary

Mace is seeking a skilled planning and scheduling leader to guide project controls for major transit and transportation infrastructure programmes in Canada. The role focuses on applying planning methods, coordinating resources, and delivering high-quality scheduling outcomes across multi-disciplinary projects.

You will mentor teams, engage with clients and stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement while contributing to net zero carbon initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in planning/scheduling across multidisciplinary projects.
  • Knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams and manage client relationships.

You'll Be Responsible For
  • Leads application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools
  • Determines and arranges project management, technical services and external resources required for the project on an individual and team basis on behalf of client organisation.
  • Good working knowledge of planning/scheduling, Earned Value Management (EVM), project controls methodologies
  • Communicate effectively with the client, project team and stakeholders.
  • Influence on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
  • Leads and manages a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services and responsible for team/individual development.
  • Influences client to accept proposals and recommendations
  • Undertakes task/s required to fulfil the requirements of the project/assignment.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll Need To Have
  • In-depth knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
  • Maintains up-to‑date awareness of current industry trends and professional best practices.
  • Proven experience across multiple construction industries and sectors.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering service excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach.
  • Effective management skills, including team leadership and talent development.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Significant experience applying planning techniques across a range of multidisciplinary projects.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Construction, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Note:

The estimated salary for this position is 130,000 - 180,000 CAD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
