Job summary

Mace in Canada is seeking a skilled software specialist to lead one or more construction sector software solutions, including Procore, CMiC, InEight, and SAP Hana. You will be part of the Digital Team, delivering client-facing projects and ensuring access to data for the project team.

You'll gather requirements, develop architectures, manage life-cycle elements, test solutions, and deliver stable, well-documented deployments. Hybrid options may be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a software specialist with hands-on admin or super-user roles in target solutions.
• Strong awareness of the construction software marketplace for Canada and US.
• Experience with software selection, licensing, and implementation.
• Knowledge of architecture of digital eco-systems for construction/real-estate.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Overall – to be the software specialist in one or more construction sector software solutions, and to have good working knowledge of the marketplace and positioning of these solutions – Procore, CMiC, InEight, SAP Hana, and others.
• To be an active member of the Digital Team, engaged in all aspects of digital solution delivery and operation on client-facing projects to enable the project/programme team to work efficiently and effectively and get access to the data they need.
• To utilise an appropriate body of knowledge (e.g. the Mace Way) project delivery methodology, standards, and templates.
• Starting with understanding the project specific requirements, gathering requirements from project colleagues and business users and working with Business Analysts.
• Developing strategies, plans, and data and system architecture.
• Overseeing and project managing key elements of software and solution life‑cycle.
• Working with colleagues and peers as part of a development and support team.
• Testing solutions.
• Delivery into live use including documentation.
• Developing support strategies.
• Settling solutions on to stable‑state operations whilst retaining some reach‑back support.
• Liaise with partner IT functions; and other stakeholder IT functions; client and supply chain partners.
• To engage seamlessly with other teams within the client project eco‑system.
• Develop and keep your business and technical knowledge and networks current and continuously improving.

You’ll Need To Have

• Experience as a software specialist potentially having been a super user, administrator in one or more of the solutions, or having worked for one of the software providers or a systems integrator for these solutions including one or more of: Procore, CMiC, InEight, SAP Hana, and others.
• Good general awareness of the construction software marketplace, especially for Canada and the US.
• Software selection and implementation, Software licensing.
• Evaluation and architecture of construction and real‑estate digital eco‑systems.
• Technology supplier management.
• System and enterprise architecture.
• IT Project Management capabilities and qualifications.
• Information security, data protection and risk assessment.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Be organised and a self‑starter.
• A willingness to share knowledge and support the development of others.
• The confidence to ask questions, make suggestions and challenge the status quo.

Note:

The estimated salary for this position is 130,000 CAD - 180,000 CAD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
