The Opportunity

Role Focus

Ensure a sustainable, profitable portfolio of fairly designed and priced products that meet client needs. The team is responsible for the financial health of the line, including IFRS-17 compliance, reinsurance relationships, monitoring, audits, data analytics, and business decisions. The role involves defining, driving, and executing the product roadmap aligned with the 4-Year Plan and making cross-functional business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create product solutions for unique lending needs, including new client-facing offerings, with adherence to pricing policies and fair treatment standards.
  2. Drive product development within the roadmap supporting the 4-Year Plan.
  3. Monitor portfolio profitability, expenses, and premiums; implement necessary changes for sustainability.
  4. Consult with shared services, stakeholders, and escalate issues as needed.
  5. Manage creditor reinsurance programs.
  6. Ensure integrity of contractual documents for clients and customers.
  7. Participate in industry committees, publications, and events.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in actuarial principles, IFRS-17 impacts, and reinsurance treaties.
  • Leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate across functions.
  • Creative problem-solving skills for innovative product solutions.
