Job summary

RBC Wealth Management GAM is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Risk to lead operational risk and regulatory compliance programs. You will collaborate with the Centres of Governance, 2LoD, Compliance and GAM leaders to anticipate, identify and mitigate risks across the business.

In this role you will run risk and control assessments, oversee risk reporting, support major change initiatives, and drive continuous improvement with data analytics and automation to strengthen the risk management

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Operational Risk, Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk & Controls, Compliance, or related financial services risk function.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement, challenge stakeholders, and handle complex risk matters.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills; advanced MS Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to influence senior management.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CA, CFA or related risk/audit designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute Risk & Control Assessments (RCSAs) with stakeholders to identify key risks and controls.
• Lead and support regulatory compliance programs, including monitoring and reporting.
• Advise GAM leaders on operational risks and emergent themes with practical solutions.
• Enhance GAM risk and control environment; identify gaps and oversee remediation.
• Assess risks from new products and initiatives; promote risk mitigation.
• Drive innovation using AI, automation, data analytics to improve risk processes.
• Prepare risk analyses and reporting for senior management and governance forums.
• Foster relationships with GAM and risk partners to enforce risk management standards.
