Job summary

RBC is seeking a senior governance professional within RBC Investor Services—Market Services to lead regulatory supervision, risk controls, and governance across FX, cash products and securities lending. The role partners with Finance, Risk, Legal, Strategy, HR, Tech and Compliance to strengthen operating models.

The candidate will oversee audits, KYC, supplier risk, and regulatory items while steering cross-functional committees and improving control environments in a fast-paced capital markets

Qualifications

• At least 5-7 years’ experience in trading conduct, compliance, regulatory reporting and governance roles.
• Ability to manage multiple high-visibility initiatives independently.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Highly organized, proactive and self-motivated to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to and oversees the Front Office Supervisory Program focusing on regulatory supervision, reporting and risk programs.
• Develop, implement and assess operational risk controls with trading desks.
• Support information requests from regulators and manage regulatory items.
• Act as contact for Operational Events impacting the Market Services business.
• Collaborate with IT and Front Office to automate supervisory reviews and risk reporting.
• Maintain procedures and controls inventory and prepare materials for governance committees.
• Ensure compliance with risk appetite and regulatory requirements; manage supplier risk.
