Job summary

The Mel Jr. & Marty Zajac Foundation in Vancouver, BC seeks a Senior Manager, Major Gifts to lead major gift fundraising, donor stewardship, sponsorships, and events, reporting to the Executive Director.

You will manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivating relationships and closing gifts of $10,000 and above. Collaborate with the Executive Team and Development colleagues to shape strategy, build pipelines, and deliver compelling proposals and cases for support, while upholding the

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of progressive fundraising or development experience with demonstrated success personally cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts.
• Proven track record of securing gifts of $10,000 or greater from individuals, corporate partners, or other supporters.
• Experience developing and securing corporate sponsorships and managing sponsor relationships.
• Experience leading or playing a significant role in successful fundraising events, including sponsorship acquisition, donor engagement, and revenue generation.
• Ability to independently manage a donor portfolio and move prospects through identification, cultivation, solicitation, closing, and stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of annual fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Executive Team and other Development members.
• Develop and execute cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for major gift prospects.
• Identify and qualify new prospective donors, corporate partners, and sponsorship opportunities.
• Manage an active portfolio of major donors and prospects with focus on gifts of $10,000+.
• Build strong donor relationships through communication, recognition, and impact reporting.
• Track progress against fundraising goals and provide regular updates on donor pipeline activity.
