Senior Manager, Learning & Development and Engagement

Why this role is important: The Senior Manager, Learning & Development and Engagement will lead initiatives to build leadership skills, enhance collaboration, and increase engagement across the organization. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing communication strategies and programs that support business objectives through strong leadership and engaged teams. Additionally, the role will support HR business partner functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead onboarding programs for new employees.
  • Assess leadership and teamwork status across the organization.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance leadership, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Plan and facilitate the Core Leadership Development Program (CLDP) for multiple cohorts annually.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for staff.
  • Partner with leaders to address teamwork and engagement challenges.
  • Design and implement initiatives like employee surveys to address organizational challenges.
  • Manage communication strategies and coordinate key events nationwide.
  • Coach leaders on employment issues, including talent management, performance, change management, and policy interpretation, in partnership with HR.
  • Support HR programs and participate in coaching and cross-functional initiatives such as performance management, compensation, succession planning, and engagement surveys.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 7-10 years of experience managing organizational projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Over 5 years of progressive HR Business Partnering experience, with expertise in employee relations.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and their implementation.
  • Understanding of ESA and Competition Law across Canadian provinces.
  • Effective, persuasive communicator, with leadership qualities and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in digital tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
