Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Senior Manager for the Personal Debt Solutions team. You will manage consumer bankruptcy and proposals, provide guidance on insolvency laws, and supervise staff across multiple offices. Travel to satellite locations and flexible hours may be required.

You will collaborate with debtors, creditors, and courts, driving effective service delivery and client satisfaction within a people-first environment at BDO Canada.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of insolvency laws, rules and procedures.
• Fully Licensed Insolvency Trustee; multi-jurisdictional license preferred.
• CIRP designation.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and workload.
• Evening hours may be required.
• Willingness to travel to satellite offices.
• Teamwork, client service and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage consumer bankruptcy and proposal files.
• Provide advice on bankruptcy laws and practices; conduct debtor assessments.
• Supervise staff and delegate tasks and projects.
• Ongoing communications with debtors, creditors, OSB, and the Courts through creditor meetings and court attendance.
• Identify, target, and develop referral sources.
• Assist with practice development and travel to other BDO offices and satellite locations as required.
• Assist with managing court files, including taxation of fees.
