Senior Manager, HR Partnerships, People and Culture

Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Senior Manager, HR Partnerships to lead a team of HR Business Partners embedded within faculties and units. This role focuses on building trust, enabling transformation, and translating strategy into effective people practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and develop a team of HR Partners to be strategic, courageous, and collaborative.
  • Advise senior leaders on high-impact workforce issues, including organizational change and employee relations.
  • Model HR excellence with institutional knowledge, political savvy, and a focus on leader success and employee well-being.
  • Align HR support with university strategy, improve service delivery, and enhance the client experience.
Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in leadership and advisory roles.
  • Experience in complex, unionized, or public sector settings preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and strategy with empathy.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or related field; CPHR designation required.
