About The Role

We are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join the HR team! This role is based out of our head office in Downtown Calgary with the ability to work from home in a hybrid capacity. The HRBP will support our business operations side to deliver tactical and strategic HR solutions to leaders and their business units.

You will be accountable for developing, implementing, and managing strategies designed to support the overall HR business plan. You will also provide professional HR guidance to client groups to facilitate successful goal achievement. This includes workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and other people processes to enhance business performance.

What You Will Do
  • Provide best-in-class HR advice and business partnerships for client groups in support of business plans.
  • Partner with business leaders on setting priorities and resource allocation to address operational challenges and opportunities.
  • Support change management and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, and methods to build organizational capability.
  • Forecast and plan talent pipeline requirements aligned with business strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of HR programs, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.
  • Handle employee performance and discipline issues.
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting reputation, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Operate in accordance with company policies, standards, and legal requirements, ensuring adherence.
  • Build organizational alignment regarding roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Provide HR guidance that aligns with business trends and needs.
What We Need From You
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Social Sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • CHRP designation or working towards it is an asset.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in HR management with broad generalist skills.
  • Experience with collective agreements, employee relations, human rights, performance management, and labor practices.
  • Experience in workforce planning and strategic recruitment, engagement, and retention.
  • Motivated team player capable of collaborating across diverse business areas.
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations and influence outcomes while maintaining trust.
  • Strong understanding of the link between HR and business strategy.
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical ability to address issues effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
