The Senior Manager contributes to the success of the Global HR Data Office by ensuring specific goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of HR strategies. All activities are conducted in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Promote awareness and adoption of data management and governance practices across Global HR, aligning with the Bank’s Data Governance Framework.
- Participate in enterprise data remediation audits to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks related to HR data.
- Collaborate with the enterprise data office to plan roadmaps for critical business processes.
- Prepare for and participate in the HR Data Council and other data forums.
- Partner with data owners, stewards, and custodians to identify areas for data quality improvements; define remediation requirements and implement initiatives.
- Develop dashboards to visualize data quality metrics and their impacts on business processes.
- Promote a data-driven culture within HR globally and share best practices.
- Provide training sessions to HR teams to enhance data issue resolution and awareness.
- Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
- Ensure operational effectiveness in line with Scotiabank’s values, conduct, and risk management principles.
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A university degree or equivalent experience.
- Over 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or finance, with a focus on data governance processes.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives.
- Judgment, curiosity, resourcefulness, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, persuasion, and presentation skills; consulting experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills at all organizational levels, including executives.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset.
