The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of the Global HR Data Office ensuring specific goals, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of HR’s strategies and objectives. Conducts all activities in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Champion monitor and drive awareness and adoption of data management and data governance practices across Global HR to ensure alignment with the Bank’s Data Governance Framework.
  • Participate in enterprise data remediation audit program under the guidance of enterprise data office tomitigate financial, operational, compliance and data risks arose from HR data.
  • Work closely with enterprise data office to complete the roadmap planning for Tier critical businessprocesses.
  • Prepare materials for, facilitate, and participate in the HR Data Council and other data-related forums.
  • Partner with data owners, stewards, custodians, and other stakeholders globally to identify areas whereHR’s data handling & access practices, processes and data quality can be improved; define remediationrequirements, build plans, and execute initiatives to deliver on recommended/required changes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize data quality metrics and illustrate associated impacts toTier business processes.
  • Promote data culture in HR teams globally and share best data practices with HR community.
  • Provide information and training sessions to HR teams to drive awareness and adoption of commonsolutions for data issues.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activitiesand decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective area in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a bank / financial institution, designing,implementing and/or sustaining data governance processes and programs
  • Self-starter with proven organizational skills to execute on multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Sound judgment, curiosity, and resourcefulness to identify risks, solve problems and developsolutions using a collaborative and inclusive approach
  • Strong collaboration, persuasion, and presentation skills with diverse stakeholder groups; abilityto constructively challenge and influence stakeholders; prior consulting or advisory experience
    is an asset
  • A high level of interpersonal and presentation skills at all levels including Executive levels
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish - is an asset
