Job summary

MNP is seeking a Senior Manager to lead forensics and litigation support engagements in Toronto, combining accounting expertise with investigative insight. You will guide fraud investigations, advise on risk and anti-fraud controls, and manage complex financial analyses for diverse clients.

Ideal candidates have 8–9 years in public accounting, CPA and CFE designations, and a proven track record in leadership and business development within the Canadian market.

Qualifications

  • 8–9 years of public accounting experience; advisory or consulting experience is a plus.
  • Strong business and practice development skills.
  • Proven people management and leadership abilities.
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking.
  • Ability to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada Contract Security Program.

Responsibilities

  • Lead proposal, planning and delivery of client engagements for fraud investigations and regulatory inquiries.
  • Calculate and analyze economic loss claims, provide commercial advice and tracing of funds.
  • Execute investigative plans and develop independent expert financial reports.
  • Manage engagement planning, scheduling and project financials (budgets, WIP, billing).
  • Provide industry expertise through client interactions, research and high-quality deliverables.
  • Mentor and coach team members for development and performance reviews.
  • Identify innovative ways to add value and cultivate client relationships.

Make an impact with our Forensics & Litigation Support team as a Senior Manager. This diverse team of professionals combines accounting and investigative expertise to protect clients’ assets and reputation. As a trusted advisor, you’ll implement anti-fraud controls and resolve fraud emergencies, reducing clients’ exposure to criminal and civil wrongdoing.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the proposal, planning and delivery of client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support, risk assessments and other specialized proceedings or regulatory inquiries for a wide variety of clients, industries and disputes
  • Calculate and analyze economic loss claims, provide commercial advice, prepare financials and tracing funds/accounts
  • Execute investigative plans on sensitive litigious matters, objectively analyze complex financial matters and develop independent expert financial reports
  • Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
  • Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions, research and analysis, reports, technical work, management presentations, proposals and other high-quality deliverables
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships and grow and develop
  • Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
  • Master of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc) is considered an asset
  • CPA and CFE designation
  • 8 to 9 years of public accounting experience; advisory or consulting experience is considered an asset
  • Strong business and practice development skills
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada Contract Security Program
