Job summary

MNP is seeking a Manager to lead AML regulatory compliance and forensics engagements in Canada. You will guide investigations, fraud controls and complex financial analyses for diverse clients while mentoring teams and managing budgets and schedules.

Based in Calgary, this role emphasizes leadership, client service, and the ability to navigate regulatory inquiries in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous AML audit experience is required.
  • CPA designation or successful completion of the CFE is an asset.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience in audit is an asset.
  • Experience in business and practice development.
  • Proven relationship building and leadership skills.
  • CAMS certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal, planning and delivery of client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support, risk assessments and other regulatory inquiries.
  • Calculate and analyze economic loss claims, provide commercial advice, prepare financials and tracing funds/accounts.
  • Execute investigative plans on sensitive matters and develop independent expert financial reports.
  • Manage engagement planning, scheduling and project financials including budgets and billing.
  • Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions and papers.
  • Identify ways to deliver added value and grow client relationships.
  • Maintain high quality control and address key risks for the client’s business.
  • Network in the local business community and support proposals for clients.
  • Mentor and coach team members toward development and performance.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal, planning and delivery of client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support, risk assessments and other specialized proceedings or regulatory inquiries for a wide variety of clients, industries and disputes
  • Calculate and analyze economic loss claims, provide commercial advice, prepare financials and tracing funds/accounts
  • Execute investigative plans on sensitive litigious matters, objectively analyze complex financial matters and develop independent expert financial reports
  • Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
  • Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions, research and analysis, reports, technical work, management presentations, proposals and other high-quality deliverables
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience
