Job summary

MNP is seeking a Manager for Forensics and Litigation Support in Calgary. You will guide investigations, deliver expert financial reports, and lead engagements with senior teams across industries.

This role emphasizes strategic thinking, client relationship growth, and risk management within a national accounting and advisory firm. Qualifications

• MFAcc is considered an asset.
• CPA designation and CFE designation are required or highly valued.
• 6–7 years of public accounting experience; advisory/consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal, planning and delivery of client engagements assisting fraud investigations and regulatory inquiries.
• Calculate and analyze economic loss claims and provide commercial guidance.
• Develop independent expert financial reports from complex matters.
• Oversee engagement planning, budgeting, and timely billing including WIP and collections.
• Provide expertise through client interactions, research, reports and management presentations.
• Identify innovative value-driven approaches to meet client needs and grow relationships.
• Maintain high quality control and address key risks for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal, planning and delivery of client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support, risk assessments and other specialized proceedings or regulatory inquiries for a wide variety of clients, industries and disputes
• Calculate and analyze economic loss claims, provide commercial advice, prepare financials and tracing funds/accounts
• Execute investigative plans on sensitive litigious matters, objectively analyze complex financial matters and develop independent expert financial reports
• Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
• Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions, research and analysis, reports, technical work, management presentations, proposals and other high-quality deliverables
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client's business
• Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
• Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

• Master of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc) is considered an asset
• CPA and CFE designation
• 6 to 7 years of public accounting experience; advisory or consulting experience is considered an asset
• Experience in business and practice development
• Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
• Ability to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada Contract Security Program
