This role contributes to the success of Canadian Banking Finance – Day-to-Day Banking in Canada by ensuring the execution of individual goals and initiatives aligned with business strategies. It involves compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. The Senior Manager, Finance, Day-to-Day Banking, provides strategic and tactical knowledge for business planning, trend analysis, and profitability drivers to support senior management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage bank-wide systems and knowledge.
• Lead the business planning process, including profit planning, stress testing, and forecasting.
• Manage development and production of reports, dashboards, and variance analysis on a regular basis.
• Develop and analyze business cases with financial modeling and presentations for management decisions.
• Collaborate with Canadian Banking Finance on product analysis reports such as PPA, Funds Transfer Pricing, and related finance matters.
• Focus on continuous improvement in profitability and competitiveness through business analysis.
• Develop processes for planning, expense tracking, and reporting.
• Prepare and present financial results to executives and senior management.
• Consider risk appetite and culture in all activities and decisions.
• Ensure effective operations, controls, and compliance with risk and regulatory frameworks.
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive team environment, managing talent development and succession planning.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Possession of MBA, CFA, or CPA certifications.
• FP&A experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Thinkcell, PowerBI).
• Knowledge of reporting systems like OBI, Hyperion, Smartview is a plus.
