Job summary

Golin in Toronto seeks a Senior Manager, Integrated Communications (Earned Media & Influencer). You will connect business goals to culturally relevant stories, lead client relationships, mentor teams and contribute to growth.

You will oversee plans across earned media, influencer partnerships and experiential programs, delivering measurable impact. The role requires 5+ years in PR or integrated communications, strong writing, and a Canada-focused media knowledge base.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive public relations or integrated communications or agency experience.
  • Proven experience leading client relationships and providing strategic counsel.
  • Strong earned media expertise and experience managing influencer programs.
  • Deep understanding of the Canadian media, influencer and cultural landscape.
  • Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong strategic thinking, judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack or CreatorIQ.
  • Collaborative, positive and solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior day-to-day client lead across multiple accounts, building trusted client relationships.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel rooted in business objectives, audience insights and cultural relevance.
  • Lead integrated communications planning across earned media, influencer marketing, content, social and experiential programs.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively develop recommendations and solutions.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations and annual planning sessions.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive client satisfaction, growth and business results.
  • Develop media and influencer strategies that generate earned attention and measurable business impact.
  • Identify compelling story angles, thought leadership opportunities and cultural moments.
  • Oversee influencer identification, contracting, content review, program execution and reporting.
  • Lead media outreach efforts, spokesperson preparation, launches, events and activations.
  • Stay ahead of media, creator and platform trends and translate insights into recommendations.
  • Oversee budgets, scopes of work, timelines and reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Maintain quality control across communications materials, presentations and reporting.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level team members.
  • Support onboarding and team development initiatives.

Client Leadership & Strategic Counsel

Account Management & Operations
  • Oversee multiple accounts simultaneously, ensuring work is delivered on time and on budget.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Maintain quality control across communications materials, presentations and reporting.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor and develop junior and mid-level team members.
