Title: Senior Manager, Business Solutions & Initiatives

The Senior Manager, Business Solutions & Initiatives is responsible for helping manage Finance change for Capital Markets, Corporate Lending, and Group Treasury businesses. The role works closely with business stakeholders on change initiatives to manage future state expectations. The responsibilities include capturing current and future state processes, writing business requirements, resolving complex accounting issues, and working to develop end-user computing solutions for Finance stakeholders.

  • Work as part of team to help drive strategic change for GBM & Global Treasury Finance
  • Effective team member with the ability to contribute to business and strategic planning. Resourceful, a self-starter, possessing a high degree of flexibility, creative thinking, and confidence to carry out innovative solutions.
  • Ability to gather and understand business needs, translate those needs into written requirements, and work with technology partners through development, testing, and implementation.
  • Perform forensic accounting and problem analysis.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including appropriate communication, handling of conflicts, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate and drive interactions with teams outside Finance such as Global Enterprise Technology, Operations, Compliance, Liquidity, Risk, and business functions both regionally and globally to develop a stronger strategy for data and process coverage.
  • Develop user computing and data analytics solutions
  • Maintain a high-performance environment through self-assessment and mentoring
  • Contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years of GBM banking experience with analytical and problem-solving in the context of a Finance or Risk Management department with a product mix of securities, loans, and derivatives.
  • Strong analytic and communication skills
  • Well-developed judgment, management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to deal effectively with a rapidly changing, complex business environment.
  • Good project/time management skills to manage multi-functional accountabilities through prioritization, delegation, motivation, conflict resolution, and the promotion of ideas.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline. Accounting certification (CPA, CMA) or other certification such as FRM or CFA would be an asset.
  • Exposure to and/or experience with Alteryx, query languages such as SQL/VBA or coding experience.
  • Graduate degree would be an asset.
