Job summary

MNP in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Manager for its Assurance & Accounting team to lead client engagements and provide expert financial insight. You will guide engagement teams, manage a portfolio of clients, and drive strategic planning to meet client needs.

The role emphasizes people leadership, business development and high-quality deliverables in a dynamic, Canadian professional services environment.

Qualifications

CPA designation is an asset.
7 years of public accounting experience.
Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development.
Proven people management and leadership skills.
Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking.

Responsibilities

Lead client facing engagement teams to complete complex review, compilation and compliance tax engagements.
Deliver expert industry and technical expertise in assurance through client interactions, reports, management presentations and high quality deliverables.
Manage a portfolio of clients; understand their business, risks and value-added opportunities.
Plan engagements and manage budgets, WIPS, billing and collections.
Maintain quality control and address client business and financial reporting issues.
Network in the local business community and contribute to proposals.
Contribute to strategic and operational planning and development of new ideas.
Mentor and coach team members and support their development.
Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary.
