Job summary

NTT DATA North America in Halifax, Nova Scotia seeks a Senior Vantage Mainframe Developer to join their client’s team. You will analyze requirements, design, develop, and maintain life/annuity applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and related mainframe technologies, and support testing and deployments.

The role requires strong collaboration across on-site and offshore teams, adherence to project guidelines, and hands-on participation in SIT/UAT and production deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Vantage life/annuities product development.
• 5+ years development using COBOL/JCL/DB2 on Mainframe.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Willingness to work at Halifax, NS office.

Responsibilities

• Perform system and requirement analysis for life and annuity product development.
• Define application design strategies aligned with business and technical needs.
• Prepare technical design documents and develop functionalities.
• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, VSAM, JCL, DB2, CICS, Web Services.
• Support testing activities including SIT/UAT and deployments.
• Coordinate with offshore teams to communicate requirements.
