Job summary

ATS Industrial Automation is hiring a Machine Tool Builder & Integrator to join our global automation team in Canada. You will build, fit and assemble complex machinery and robotic work cells, coordinating between engineers, electricians and programmers to deliver quality on time.

You will lead a small team, run mid-scale projects, and apply precision machining knowledge, shop mathematics, and manufacturability principles to support our customers’ demanding automation needs.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification as Machine Tool Builder/Integrator, Toolmaker or Millwright.
• Certificate of Apprenticeship and Certificate of Qualification in related trades.
• Experience constructing and assembling automation machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Machine, fit and assemble components for special-purpose machinery and robotics.
• Lead a team of Toolmakers and apprentices to build and integrate work cells.
• Set up and operate machine tools and support assembly with layout and measurements.
• Provide labour estimates and coordinate cross-functional project activities.
