Schneider Electric is seeking a Canada-based technical applications support engineer for low-voltage switchboard configurations and non-standard requests. You will collaborate with Sales, Quotations, Engineering and manufacturing to assess feasibility, cost, and lead times for complex solutions.

You will review customer specs, diagrams, BOMs, and drawings to determine configurability, collaborate with vendors, and propose practical alternatives when needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on design or application experience with low-voltage switchboards or drawout switchgear.
• Ability to interpret customer specs, diagrams, and BOMs.
• Sound judgment when assessing non-standard modifications for feasibility.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity to explore requests.
• Clear written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support for non-standard low-voltage switchboard requests in Canada.
• Review customer specifications, diagrams, BOMs, and drawings to shape configurations.
• Assess feasibility within technical, dimensional, and manufacturing constraints.
• Collaborate with plant engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and other resources.
• Define approach and coordinate cost and lead-time inputs for non-standard requests.
• Recommend practical alternatives with clear modification notes and limitations.
• Document assumptions and proposed solutions to support accurate quotations.
• Manage multiple requests within timelines, prioritizing complexity and urgency.
• Provide clarification after order conversion for ongoing project context.
• Expand knowledge across Canadian switchboard applications and NA quotation support.
