Job summary

Powell Canada Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design LV/MV switchgear and MCCs for our service division. You will deliver engineering packages, drawings, and BOMs, while collaborating with sales, procurement, and field personnel to meet schedules.

You will apply Canadian codes and standards, contribute to training, and support continuous improvement in quality and safety. This permanent on-site role is based in Alberta.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering with 1–3 years of switchgear experience.
• Registration with APEGA as P.Eng. is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of CEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design LV/MV switchgear.
• Prepare general arrangement and one-line diagrams.
• Ensure projects meet on-time delivery (OTD) and budget.
• Provide technical support to sales and field service.
• Attend training sessions and stay current with codes.
