Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office.
• Experience in a 3rd party logistics environment.
• Knowledgeable and skilled using a warehouse management system (WMS).
• Demonstrated strong leadership with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Resourceful self-starter with exceptional labour planning skills.
• Team player with ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• Proven ability to encourage and motivate others positively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department to follow SOPs and meet KPIs set by GM.
• Coach and train employees; ensure cross-training and coverage.
• Assess performance; conduct progressive discipline with HR.
• Handle administrative tasks: attendance, pay issues, benefits questions.
• Monitor time/attendance; respond to inquiries; return-to-work tracking.
• Investigate accidents and implement preventive actions.
• Provide information to clients and respond within SLA timelines.
• Resolve operational issues as they arise.
• Plan daily operations and allocate staff/resources.
• Oversee use of equipment like RF guns, pumps, forklifts.
• Ensure sufficient supplies and maintain quality standards.
• Liaise with Customer Service, Transportation, Inventory to solve issues.
• Stay informed on client requirements and contract changes.
• Maintain safe workplace and compliance with health & safety laws.
• Initiate rewards and recognition programs for staff.
• Participate in projects and client meetings as required.
