Job summary

LNG Canada is seeking a Senior Operations Trainer - Shift to strengthen shift capability for safe, stable, and reliable LNG plant operations in Kitimat. Reporting to the Production Training Excellence Lead, you will sustain competence, reinforce operating discipline, and convert formal learning into practical improvements for shift crews.

You will design and deliver training interventions, keep programs current, assess readiness, and support progression while ensuring alignment with LNG Canada

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of LNG/oil and gas operations experience, including field and panel exposure.
• Experience training, coaching, mentoring, and assessing frontline operations personnel in a shift-based environment.
• Strong facilitation, technical writing, communication, stakeholder management, and performance feedback skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical learning interventions addressing shift performance needs in LNG operations.
• Keep field/panel/shift training programs current with procedures and operating experience.
• Support technician progression by identifying gaps and recommending closure actions.
• Reinforce operating discipline through procedures, safe work practices, and shift handover behaviors.
• Convert abnormal events into scenario-based practice to strengthen operator response.
