Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a part-time Server to work in our bright and welcoming dining room. Here, mealtime is more than food; it’s friends and family sharing good conversation and memorable experiences.

Responsibilities include serving meals, setting/clearing tables, assisting with dishware and kitchen cleanliness, supporting catering and events, and helping onboard new culinary staff while adhering to health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Preference for experience in food service and seniors care.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy items and stand for most of shift.
• Second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and kitchen items at the end of service.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area and kitchen as required.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events and theme meals.
• Assist in orientation and training of new culinary staff.
• Follow health and safety legislation and safe job procedures.
• Comply with provincial regulations and department policies.
• Respect Resident Rights and promote them.
• Attend in-service training to better serve residents.
• Attend staff meetings to stay informed of residence changes.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uphold the organization’s values and code of conduct.
• Complete all other tasks as assigned.
