Job summary

Manotick Place Retirement Community in Manotick, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Housekeeper. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and includes cleaning, bed-making, and laundry services in a resident-focused environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, prior housekeeping experience, clean police record, and health/safety compliance. On-site, daytime shift with competitive hourly pay of $18.90.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping experience.
• Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Knowledgeable in Health and Safety and sanitation regulations.
• Must be able to provide a police check with vulnerable sector screen upon hire.
• Must be able to provide TB testing results upon hire.
• Must be able to provide vaccination records for COVID-19 (minimum 2 doses) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Sort and separate items to be laundered in accordance with community laundering requirements.
• Operate washing machines and dryers.
• Hand iron and fold or hang garments after laundering.
• Transport laundered garments to appropriate floors.
• Ensure proper identification of all personal clothing.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adequate laundry supplies.
• Observe fire and safety rules and adhere to OH&S policies.
• Clean, mop, wax and polish floors; dust furniture and equipment; arrange furniture as directed.
