Job summary

Manitoulin Centennial Manor is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Aide for days and evenings. You will maintain cleanliness, operate cleaning machines, and support infection control in our long-term care home.

The role requires English reading/writing, ability to stand, lift moderately, and availability for weekends and holidays. Compensation ranges from CAD 23.22 to 25.28 per hour, with access to our total rewards package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or laundry aide preferred in long-term care (0–1 year).
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must read and write English and understand simple verbal/written instructions in English.
• Ability to work safely following established safety practices and procedures.
• Must be able to do moderate to heavy lifting.
• Available to work days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
• OSSD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the facility
• Able to operate different cleaning machines
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies & PPE distributed on the floor (sanitizer, mask, gloves, etc.)
• Participates in proper storage and labeling of housekeeping and laundry supplies
• Adheres to established departmental policies, procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, environment, and infection control.
• Participates in facility meetings as assigned.
• Attends in-service education programs.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
