Maxwell Management Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a retirement community in Canada, driving performance, culture and financial results.

The GM will oversee operations, service quality, marketing, revenue, and profitability while coaching leaders and implementing the established strategic plan. The role requires 7+ years in hospitality or related service sectors and 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial capacity, with strong leadership and financial acumen.

Qualifications

  • Education in Business Administration, Hospitality, Sales, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in hotel, sales, hospitality or related service.
  • 2+ years in a Supervisor/Manager role with team leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated leadership, relationship-building and motivation skills.
  • Financial management knowledge including revenue, expenses, budgets and profitability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a retirement community with focus on performance, culture and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee operations, service quality, marketing, revenue, profitability and financial performance.
  • Coach and develop leaders, strengthen leadership capability across the team.
  • Turn strategy into execution with accountability and measurable outcomes.
  • Be available on call and flexible for evenings, weekends and emergencies.
