Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Canada is seeking an Executive Director with strong operations leadership in hospitality. You will oversee the general management of a retirement residence, focusing on resident care, occupancy, and service excellence.

This role requires proven team leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement to deliver a superior More Living experience and ensure regulatory compliance while driving financial performance.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of management experience in seniors living or hospitality.
• Experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a unionized environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends).
• Strong understanding of business planning and processes.
• Proven track record of achieving marketing, sales, and financial goals.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Background Check) within six months or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general management of the retirement residence to deliver exceptional resident care.
• Lead operations, sales and occupancy initiatives with budget and compliance focus.
• Recruit, train and mentor staff to build a high-performing team.
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous development.
• Engage with residents, families and regional teams to ensure service quality.
• Promote the residence in the local market to attract new residents.
