Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Server to work in our bright dining room in Kingsville, Ontario. The role involves serving meals to residents and guests, setting and clearing tables, and assisting with dishware and dining area cleanliness.

You may also contribute to catering and special events, and help train new staff as needed. Preference given to those with food service experience with seniors, strong customer service, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service with seniors preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to lift heavy items and stand for long shifts.
• Second language is considered an asset.
• VPS screening within 6 months or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and maintaining dining area cleanliness.
• To assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
• To assist in orientation and training of new culinary employees.
• To follow health and safety legislation and department procedures.
• To comply with provincial regulations and residency rights policies.
• To attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
