Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Server to work in our bright and welcoming dining room in Toronto, Ontario. You will serve meals to residents and guests with professionalism, help with tray service, and maintain dining area cleanliness while upholding safety standards.

Preference for experience in food service with seniors and a valid Food Handler's Certificate; VPS screening within 6 months; bilingual abilities are a plus. Accommodation available upon request.

Qualifications

• Preference for experience in food service with seniors
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand/walk for most of the shift

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen and dining area
• To assist with catering and participate in special events
• To orient and train new culinary employees
• To comply with health and safety regulations and departmental policies
• To attend staff meetings and participate in the Quality Improvement Program
• To uphold the organization’s code of conduct and values
