Cogir Senior Living seeks a Cook to prepare and deliver meals for residents, guests and staff. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to menus and dietary requirements in a retirement setting.

The successful candidate will have a Food Handler's Certificate (Red Seal preferred), and prior experience with large-volume food production and therapeutic diets. A willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check is required.

Qualificações

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Red Seal Certificate preferred.
• Experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably in healthcare or retirement setting.
• Knowledge of Provincial Food Premises Regulation and Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating.
• Experience with special and therapeutic diets.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and deliver foods for residents, guests and employees.
• Review menus and production sheets; serve meals attractively.
• Ensure proper food handling techniques.
• Conduct daily temperature audits for fridge and storerooms.
• Prepare foods for therapeutic/special diets per planned menus.
• Make substitutions as needed and record them.
• Adhere to service schedules and production charts within budget.
• Comply with health, safety, and dietary department policies.
