Optima Living is seeking a Cook Level I to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, adhering to dietary needs and safety standards. You will work under the Food Services or Support Services Manager, contributing to residents' wellness and satisfaction with person-centered care.

Responsibilities include day-to-day meal prep, kitchen safety, sanitation, and collaboration with the team to support operational needs; flexibility to work varied shifts is required.

Competenze

• Graduate from a recognized culinary institute (asset).
• Minimum 1 year food preparation experience in home-style or restaurant cooking.
• Active Food Safe certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to supervise when necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication with residents and team.

• Prepares food using various methods (roasting, frying, grilling, steaming, poaching, boiling, baking).
• Assembles ingredients and equipment for preparation.
• Cooks according to menu and dietary needs.
