Qualifications

• Graduate of Health Care Aide program or provincial equivalent.
• Experience with seniors in community health settings.
• Strong written and oral communication; good organizational skills.
• Ability to perform personal care duties and lifting/transfers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the plan of care as determined by the supervisor.
• Observe and report changes in resident's condition to supervisor.
• Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities.
• Support with meals, ambulation, transfers and adaptive aids.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and respond to resident/family concerns.
• Attend in-services to develop knowledge and skills.
