Cogir Senior Living in Ontario is seeking an Active Living Aide to assist in planning, organizing and implementing meaningful programs for residents in our senior living community. You will support daily activities, coordinate events, and help create an engaging daily routine.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, strong communication, and collaboration with the Active Living Manager and Executive Director to ensure residents enjoy safe, enriching experiences while maintaining thorough

Formación

• College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with seniors.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly.
• Valid driver's license to transport residents by van; Vulnerable Sector Check required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for residents.
• Maintain department records including assessments and evaluation of programs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, volunteers and staff.
• Attend in-service education to stay current with elder care trends.
• Participate in team meetings to plan programs aligned with resident interests.
• Facilitate scheduled and pre-arranged outings for residents.
• Assist with resident activity level assessments and daily activities.
• Assist with meal services as required.
• Uphold Cogir's values and integrity in all duties.
