Job summary

Eastholme is seeking an Activity Aide to help plan and implement engaging programs for residents. You will support the Activities Coordinator and design activities that promote socialization, relaxation and daily living skills.

Responsibilities include coordinating group and individual activities, maintaining records, and participating in safety trainings. A relevant diploma or enrollment in a related field is required, with willingness to obtain necessary certifications and immunizations.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with residents, families and staff.
• Experience or training in recreation programs for older adults.
• Willingness to obtain immunizations as required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement spiritual, social, recreational and entertainment programs for residents.
• Assist with Restorative Care Programs and maintain calendars and notices.
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports for residents.
• Complete monthly summaries and review reports with the Director.
• Gather data for care planning and surveys.
• Promote safe working habits and comply with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and volunteers.
• Attend staff development programs and activity staff meetings.
• Be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends.
