Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to support their enterprise infrastructure team. This role focuses on Linux operations, system maintenance, and datacenter modernization efforts—including containerization leadership. You’ll work closely with both operational and architecture teams to support design, deployment, and automation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end Linux infrastructure support: operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and on-call coverage.
• Lead containerization strategy for datacenter services using platforms like Docker and OpenShift.
• Collaborate with architecture and provisioning teams to support infrastructure design and implementation.
• Drive automation and orchestration of Linux environments using tools like Tanium, Orchestrator, and other automation suites.
• Manage configuration through tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, and DSC.
• Write and maintain automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Contribute to capacity planning, scaling, and long-term system optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10–15 years of overall infrastructure experience.
• 1–3 years of experience supporting virtual infrastructure.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Cluster environments: SLES, Red Hat.
• Management tools: vCenter, Nutanix Prism.
• Storage: Dell/EMC, NetApp, including replication technologies.
• Networking: Cisco (UCS, switching, routing), TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC.
• Strong documentation experience—runbooks, environment overviews, etc.
• Familiarity with Azure IaaS/PaaS and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Packer, ARM, CloudFormation).
• Experience with enterprise service bus platforms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing delivery team.
