We use Customer Generation (a marketing methodology developed by us) which focuses on SQLs and Customers instead of traditional metrics like MQLs. This role reports to the Associate Director and is a crucial part of the LinkedIn media team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of a fast-growing specialty agency. Directive has a proven playbook of GTM product success, with the successful launch of our Start-Up division, the fastest growing department in Directive’s history. We’re applying that same success to this new venture and we want you to be part of it!

The Senior LinkedIn Strategist works directly with our mid-market and enterprise clients, communicating results, creating custom strategies, and executing Paid Media deliverables. You will gain experience creating high-performing LinkedIn strategies for B2B businesses.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead a collection of Social Media accounts
  • Serve as direct support to client contacts
  • Maintain weekly communication with vendors or operational partners to ensure alignment on tasks, work quality, and improvements
  • Build strategies for clients each quarter
  • Create, maintain, and optimize budgets for paid media campaigns
  • Provide fractional support for internal marketing within Directive
  • Deeply understand client positioning and value propositions
  • Ensure lead routing accuracy within CRM
  • Manage personal productivity and utilization
  • Work with the Associate Director to meet internal and client goals
  • Understand the value of Programmatic campaigns
  • Drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals via client relationships
  • Execute and optimize LinkedIn advertising campaigns, including ad copywriting, TAM development, and targeting to maximize ROI
What You Offer
  • 4+ years experience in a performance/digital marketing agency, bonus for B2B
  • Deep expertise in paid social advertising, particularly LinkedIn Ads
  • Understanding of LinkedIn Ad Units such as conversation ads, document ads, CTV, etc.
  • Proficiency with advertising platforms like LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Zoominfo, 6Sense, etc.
  • Ability to delegate to junior team members
  • Strong knowledge of paid principles: keyword research, ad copy, bid management, campaign optimization
  • Experience analyzing campaign data with tools like Google Analytics, GA4, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to drive results and measure via OCT
  • Experience with audience segmentation by tier, job title, etc.
  • Proven success with mid-market or enterprise accounts
  • Ability to articulate strategy and tell stories with data
  • Competitive, curious, and a problem solver

Work Environment Requirements

This is a remote-first role, with options to work from anywhere in the US or in our offices in Irvine, CA. For global locations, current work authorization and residence in the country are required. The role involves working remotely with virtual collaboration tools, requiring reliable internet, a suitable workspace, and the ability to remain stationary for periods.
