Job summary

Arc'teryx Equipment in North Vancouver seeks a Senior Leaves Management Specialist to own leave programs across Canada and the US, coordinating with People & Culture and Payroll to ensure compliant, efficient processes.

You will partner with internal and external stakeholders, optimize workflows, and support global benefits initiatives while preparing for a hybrid schedule with on-site support as needed. Canada work eligibility required.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years HR/leave management or disability programs experience, including US state programs and regulations.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory leave requirements and coordination with government and employer programs.
  • Ability to work independently and own end-to-end program oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; challenge status quo and implement process enhancements.
  • Customer service oriented with ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Balance autonomy with teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for outdoor life aligns with Arc'teryx culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end administration of leaves across Canada and the US including STD/ LTD, maternity, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Interpret legislative changes and recommend policy/process updates.
  • Coordinate triage of leave requests with People & Culture partners and leaders.
  • Ensure timely HRIS/payroll data updates and accurate claim submissions.
  • Act as escalation point for complex leaves and coordination of return-to-work.
  • Calculate and report disability payments to payroll on various pay schedules.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve leave management framework.
  • Provide leave trend reports for risk and workforce planning.
  • Serve as SME for leave matters and support training materials.
