A leading organization in Ontario seeks a Senior Learning and Development Specialist to enhance staff training and development. This role involves coordinating training programs, managing the Learning Management System, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and best practices in training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in L&D, excellent facilitation skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The Senior Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist, as part of a team, is responsible for coordinating and implementing the functions of the L&D Department to support continuous staff and student development, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and training best practices. The role involves collaborating with the L&D manager and subject matter experts to research, develop, update, and deliver dynamic training courses internally and externally.
The Senior L&D Specialist also manages training registration, facilitates accommodation requests, designs learning plans for staff improvement, guides supervisors in course delivery, and instructs various courses/workshops. Responsibilities include overseeing, maintaining, and updating the Reena Learning Management System, maintaining relationships with training partners, and serving as the first escalation point for L&D team members.
