Responsibilities

About the role:

GM Financial is targeting significant growth as it transforms the Protection/Insurance Products into a full captive platform. Our team is responsible for bringing the branded General Motors F&I products to market and working closely with dealer partners to improve performance in their F&I departments. As the E-Learning Developer and LMS Administrator, you will work with the larger learning and development team to design, support, and maintain content for our products, systems, and sales enablement. You will also be involved in program evaluation and course maintenance for internal and external training initiatives. The Learning Consultant II will play a key role in enhancing our educational offerings by creating engaging learning experiences and overseeing the administration of internal GM Protection and external GM Protection enrolled Dealership facing Learning Management Systems.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to assess learning needs and design comprehensive training programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and deliver engaging virtual and web-based training, workshops, and courses to employees at different levels.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to ensure effective knowledge transfer, engagement, and skill acquisition.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements, simulations, case studies, and other interactive elements to enhance learner engagement and promote practical application of skills.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments, evaluate training effectiveness, and gather feedback through various assessment tools, surveys, and evaluation methods.
  • Continuously update training materials based on learner feedback, industry best practices, and product changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including dealers, marketing, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless training integration.
  • Stay current with advancements in learning technologies and instructional design, recommending innovative solutions.
  • Utilize e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and HourOne Labs, to create interactive modules.
  • Manage daily operations of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a seamless user experience – experience with SuccessFactors and Oracle Learning is a plus.
Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • Knowledge of dealership operations and F&I processes (preferred).
  • Experience with on-demand, just-in-time delivery of training.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles.
  • Proficiency with design support systems such as Adobe Captivate, Canva, MurfAI, HourOne Labs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot quickly as content and regulations change rapidly.
  • Project management skills, including prioritization and managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for training delivery and support.
Experience
  • 2-3 years developing training content in multiple modalities (e-learning, interactive sessions, webinars).
  • 1+ year experience with Learning Management Systems and administration (SuccessFactors and Oracle Learning preferred).
  • 1-2 years retail automotive experience in the business office, promoting and selling protections products, ideally with Menu Selling.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or related field.
