Our client is a well-established Canadian law firm seeking a Senior Law Clerk to support a busy practice group in a hybrid capacity. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain corporate records and minute books (physical and electronic).
- Prepare, review, and file corporate documentation (e.g., incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, dissolutions, reorganizations).
- Draft routine and complex legal documents, resolutions, and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate filings and registrations with applicable regulatory bodies and online portals.
- Conduct due diligence searches and assist with transactions (as required), including document compilation and closing support.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and government offices regarding corporate filings and related requests.
- Track deadlines, ensure compliance requirements are met, and maintain accurate file organization and documentation.
- Support lawyers with administrative and practice‑related tasks to keep matters moving efficiently.
Skills and Experience
- Experience: 5+ years (or equivalent) of progressive experience as a Corporate/Commercial Law Clerk (senior‑level exposure preferred).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and corporate registry/filing systems.
- Organization: Highly detail‑oriented with strong file management, prioritization, and deadline management skills.
- Communication: Clear, professional communication with confidence working across multiple stakeholders.
- Education: Law Clerk diploma or equivalent related education/experience.
