Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead land development and civil infrastructure efforts in Edmonton, Alberta. You’ll oversee tendering, construction administration and client coordination across residential, commercial and municipal projects.

Key duties include managing design deliverables, permits, and project teams while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. A P.Eng. or equivalent registration plus 10+ years in the field are required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Registration as a P.Eng., P.Tech. Eng., P.L. Eng. or equivalent with APEGA, or as a C.E.T. with ASET.
• Minimum 10+ years of land development, utilities, earthworks and related projects.
• Experience in Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or Construction Administrator roles.
• Experience delivering projects through full lifecycle from initiation to closeout.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to travel to project sites and work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead tender preparation and construction administration for residential and commercial projects.
• Manage client meetings, project updates and stakeholder coordination.
• Oversee design deliverables, permits, and approvals.
• Mentor team, optimize processes, and grow internal capabilities.
• Prepare progress reports, claims and payments, and manage vendor coordination.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance on site.
