Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Land Development and Municipal Engineering team in Edmonton, Alberta. The role focuses on tender preparation and construction administration across residential, commercial, and municipal projects, including design-builds and infrastructure rehab.

Strong client liaison, scheduling, and site oversight are essential. You will manage design deliverables, permits, and approvals, mentor staff, and participate in project meetings.

Qualifications

• University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering as required.
• Registration as a P.Eng., P.Tech. Eng., P.L. Eng. or equivalent with APEGA, or registration as a C.E.T. with ASET.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in land development, underground utilities, earthworks, roadworks and landscaping projects.
• Experience delivering projects through full lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs and contract documentation.
• Experience supervising construction inspection teams and administering contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tender preparation and construction administration for residential and commercial projects.
• Manage client accounts and lead meetings with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports and progress documentation.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and contractors; ensure permits and approvals are secured.
• Assist with project setup, scheduling, invoicing and project control.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and quality standards on site.
