Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada is seeking a Senior Java/J2EE engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications. You will build REST APIs and gRPC services, design microservices, and work with architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

You will develop and optimize SQL queries for high-volume systems, implement secure coding practices, and collaborate with cloud teams on Azure, AWS, and GCP deployments.

Qualifications

• Lead design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade Java/J2EE applications.
• Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs and gRPC services.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures.
• Collaborate with architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate services using REST, JSON, SOAP/WSDL, and XML protocols.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for high-volume systems.
• Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability benchmarks.
• Apply secure coding practices and code reviews.
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
