Job summary

Propel Holdings in Toronto is seeking an experienced Java developer to design and build scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will work with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST, and SQL, leading/mentoring junior developers and delivering end-to-end projects.

The role emphasizes taking ownership, staying current with industry trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and applying CI/CD practices, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes to deliver reliable software in a fast-growing fintech

Qualifications

• 12+ years of work experience as a Java developer or similar role.
• Experience leading/mentoring junior developers.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and REST.
• Hands-on SQL (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, etc.).
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and React.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience building full-stack apps with React is a plus.
• Ability to adopt AI tools in day-to-day tasks.
