Job summary
Elastic, the Search AI Company, seeks a Senior Software Developer to join Elasticsearch and craft foundational infrastructure, APIs, and observability. You will own core features, tackle performance and security, and drive cross-team initiatives with engineers, developers, and open source collaborators.
You will contribute to serverless orchestration, CI/CD workflows, and tooling, while mentoring and leading projects across teams.
Qualifications
- Experience designing APIs and trading off design decisions.
- Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures.
- Proficient in core Java and concurrency concepts.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to core infrastructure and API design for Elasticsearch.
- Improve automation, and integrate agentic apps into workflows.
- Design and implement scalable features and APIs.
- Address performance and concurrency issues with solutions.
- Enhance observability and reliability of cloud systems.
- Collaborate openly with Elastic teams and users.
- Provide guidance on complex problems to support engineers.
- Own end-to-end projects from conception to delivery.
