TD Securities is seeking an experienced Java Developer in Toronto to help build the next generation of risk computation platforms. You will work on microservices, streaming, and on-demand pricing to support trading and risk management in a global finance context.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java experience with strong JVM fundamentals.
• Proficiency with the Spring stack and microservice development via Spring Boot.
• Experience designing/consuming REST APIs and gRPC endpoints.
• Experience with messaging (Kafka) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Strong Python data stack knowledge (NumPy, Pandas, Scipy, PyTorch).
• NoSQL, Hadoop, Redis, Big Data streaming (Kafka/Flink) and SQL RDBMS expertise.
• Git, CI/CD toolchain (Maven/Gradle), Jenkins; Agile software development.
• Desirable: Scala, Angular/React, Excel integration, ELK, TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop risk applications using microservices, caching, and streaming to enable hundreds of billions of computations daily.
• Architect and deliver on-demand pricing and risk tooling for trading and sales teams.
• Deliver large-scale P&L and risk projects aligned with growth and regulatory requirements.
• Build tooling to increase team efficiency and streamline development processes.
