Job summary

Symbiotic Digital in Calgary is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a high-profile, 6-month contract in a public-sector/higher-education setting. You will own multiple IT initiatives spanning cybersecurity and infrastructure, guiding governance, delivery, and risk management from planning through execution.

You will work with Cyber Operations, Enterprise Architecture, and vendors, coordinate with an Organizational Change Management resource, and ensure on-time, in-scope deliverables for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Active PMP certification (PMPCertification) in good standing.
• 10+ years of formal IT Project Management experience across the full lifecycle.
• On-site availability in Calgary: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination, milestone tracking, risk mitigation, and end-to-end delivery of concurrent IT initiatives across infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Drive key program activities including Disaster Recovery, BCP tests, Vulnerability Management workflows, and RFP/discovery processes.
• Coordinate with Cyber Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Supply Chain and vendors to align scope, requirements and procurement.
• Develop PMO artifacts: charters, delivery schedules, risk/issue logs, dashboards, and financial forecasts.
• Coordinate risk and privacy/security impact assessments and governance reviews.
• Partner with Organizational Change Management to support operational readiness and user adoption.
